Applications to Graduate Program 2022-2023 Spring Term

Geodesy Department of Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute will accept students who can study Geodesy and related disciplines and can efficiently use actual data.

Application Requirements :

Masters:

a. The Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Exam (ALES) score

ALES Quantitative: 60 or GRE Quantitative score of 150 is accepted.

b. GPA   2.20/4.00

c. English Proficiency Test (BUEPT)

Doctorate:

a. The Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Exam (ALES) score

ALES Quantitative: 70 or GRE Quantitative score of 154 is accepted.

b. GPA   3.15/4.00

c. English Proficiency Test (BUEPT)

The English Proficiency Test (BUEPT) is administered by the School of Foreign Languages (YADYOK). Applicants who plan to take the BUEPT must apply to YADYOK prior to the date of the exam. Applicants who have already taken the TOEFL/IELTS and received a sufficient overall score but failed to achieve a sufficient score in the writing section must present their TOEFL/IELTS score report to YADYOK and apply to take the TWE. Those who achieve a sufficient score on the TWE will be considered proficient in English.

Important Dates :

2 - 9 January 2023 : The Application period for the graduate programs 

20 January 2023*  : Oral Exam/Interview Hour/Place Masters: 10.00 Doctorate: 11:30 / Department of the Geodesy Building

19 January 2023 :   English Proficiency Test (BUEPT)

11 January 2023 :  English Language Placement Exam 

*planned scientific exam date.  In case of the date update, changes will be announced at the web site of the Geodesy Department.
